Katelyn Zemanek To Guatemala

My name is Katelyn, or Kata in Spanish, and I am a missionary teaching English in Guatemala. Becoming a full-time missionary has been a life-long dream of mine and I am eager to see all that God has planned for this first step in a lifetime of service to His Kingdom! I would love to have you join me on this journey as a partner in friendship, prayer, financial support, or all three!

“For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, ‘Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’ 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? 15 And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: ‘How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!’” Romans 10:12-15

It is my VISION… to see every community transformed by the power of Jesus Christ. He is everything, and everything we do stems from our relationship with our Creator, our Savior, and our Counselor.

It is my DESIRE… to empower struggling communities to live out God’s purpose for their lives! Over the course of my missions training and study of the Word, I have found that the best way to accomplish this is through intentional local partnerships. As God provides opportunities to foster meaningful relationships, it opens doors to encourage struggling peoples in their God-given gifts and motivates them to pursue humanity’s true calling as described in Genesis One. As people step into their created purpose, it brings them closer in relationship with the Lord, and enables them to experience the goodness of the His Kingdom as their spiritual, mental, and physical circumstances are transformed by His love and healing hand!

It is my HONOR… to serve the global Church by working alongside locals to assist impoverished communities through encouragement and teaching practical skills. Currently, I am serving in Guatemala as an English teacher. In many Latin American countries (including Guat.) the ability to speak English almost guarantees a well-paying job. Earning a solid income is a tremendous tool that helps so many work to provide for themselves, their families, and their communities.

It is my HEART… that all people would recognize God as thier Savior, experience the holistic healing and freedom of His Kingdom, and worship God in everything they do, as they work, support their families, and contribute to a strong community of disciples.
