Vienna Baseball Facility

Prayerfully join us in establishing a Baseball training ministry facility in the city of Vienna, Austria. 
 
We have been working to establish relationships within the baseball community in Austria for the past 15 years. In that time, it has become evident that one of the major needs here is a year round training facility that can be exclusively used by the baseball and softball community. 
 
Currently, for the approximately 600-700 players active in the city, there are only two fields and no indoor baseball specific spaces when the weather is too cold or rainy/snowy to practice outside. For most athletes, they are limited to the 2 practice days a week that their teams are scheduled to use the field and have no opportunity to train at any other time. The opportunity to improve their hitting or pitching skills becomes limited to very specific times. While teams do train indoors during the winter months it is in small basketball gyms that are not equipped properly for baseball training.  
 
Our vision is that we can create a facility that helps to bridge this gap. A facility where any individual, group of friends, or even an established team can get together to train in the skills for this game they love. 

We will be partnering with a local organization in Austria called “Fields for the Future – Austria”. 
 
But this facility will be much more than simply a place to become a better athlete. It will be a community hub where individuals can connect with each other. Where kids who feel lonely can connect with others who love baseball. Where coaches can pass on knowledge in a context where they have the tools they need to improve. A place where families can spend time together. A place where the gospel can be shared and disciples can be edified.
